Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean official Firmware List For Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500

If you are a Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) user and want to have the latest Jelly Bean update installed on your device but cannot get it the official way, a manual installation procedure is explained below. Users will need to download the respective firmware package, according to the region they belong to, and then flash it on their handset using a tool called Odin.

Procedure to flash stock firmwares via odin with screensots for Samsung Mobiles

TO REVERT BACK TO STOCK ROM DOWNLOAD THE DESIRED PACKAGE OF YOUR COUNTRY.

ALSO DOWNLOAD THE ODIN FROM HERE.

EXTRACT THE ODIN PACKAGE WHEREVER YOU LIKE. SAY DESKTOP.

NOW ALSO EXTRACT YOUR DOWNLOADED FIRMWARE PACKAGE TO DESKTOP.

THESE PACKAGES ARE NEW N SO CONTAIN ONLY ONE FILE.

NOW GO TO DOWNLOAD MODE IN YOUR MOB BY PRESSING VOLUME DOWN+HOME+POWER BUTTON.
THEN PRESS VOLUME UP BUTTON TO CONFIRM.

NOW WHEN IN DOWNLOAD MODE CONNECT YOUR MOB TO PC THROUGH USB DATA CABLE[U6 MODEL IN INDIA]

NOW OPEN THE ODIN FOLDER IN DESKTOP N THEN DOUBLE CLICK "Odin3_v1.85.exe" TO OPEN ODIN. PRESS YES IF ASKED.

THEN THE ODIN FLASHER PROGRAM WILL OPEN.

NOW CLICK ON PDA OPTION IN RIGHT SIDE PANEL OF THE PROGRAM.



SELECT YOUR FIRMWARE FILE.

Q: Flashing any firmware to my phone will erase the network lock?
A: NO. The network (or SIM) lock still remain active. By flashing firmware you can't deactivate the lock. It's stored elsewhere.

Q: Flashing an operator specific firmware will restrict my open phone to that operator's network?
A: NO. Your phone still remain open for any SIM. Operator specific builds usually containing "only" bloatwares, wallpapers and/or browser settings, etc...

Q: Do I need to tick repartition?
A: NO! Leave all check-boxes as default!

Tranfer Android Apps Using Bluetooth

Steps:

1.  Download Astro Apps click here

2.  Create APK files using Astro

3. Transfer APK files using Bluetooth Transfer App.

4.  Press the settings soft key and choose “Tools” option. A pop-up will be opened.

5. Now, select “Application Backup” and wait for Astro to generate a list of all the apps installed on your 

mobile.

6. From the list, select the android app that you’d like to send via Bluetooth to another mobile and click the “backup” button to create the APK file.

7.Once the backup is finished, press the “back” key to return to Astro main screen.

8. Navigate to your SD card -> Backups -> Apps to find the APK files created 

by Astro.

9. The receiver can now be able to install the android app on his mobile phone without any problem.
